5.      Special Event request for the City of Dania Beach Green Advisory Board  to hold a "Tree Giveaway" on Saturday, April 21, 2012, in the Dania Beach City Center.  The applicant is also requesting the City to provide tables and chairs for their event, to have access to City Hall for restrooms use between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and for the Mayor or Commissioners to welcome residents.        (Agenda Request Item, Supporting Docs)

 

6.      Special Event request for the Marine Industries Association of South Florida's "16th Annual Plywood Regatta" to be held on  April 21-22, 2012, at 101 North Beach Road.   The applicant is requesting a waiver of  fees, including parking fees for members and volunteer organizers. 7.      Special Event request for the First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church "Youth Christian Day", to be held April 28, 2012, at 6 SW 6th Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Agenda Request Item, Supporting Docs)

 

8.      Special Event request for the Broward Sheriff's Office/Fire Department's "3rd Annual James Malcolm ALS Competition" to be held at Bass Pro Shops, 200 Gulfstream Way, on Friday, May 11, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The applicant is also requesting a permit fee waiver. 9.      Special Event requested for Broward Sheriff's Office/Fire Department's "Broward Invitational Extrication Competition", to be held on May 12-13, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, 200 Gulfstream Way. 5.      CITIZEN COMMENTS

 

Addressing the Commission: Comments by Dania Beach citizens, or other interested parties that are not part of the regular agenda, may be made during each Commission meeting during the period set aside for "citizen comments."  A thirty (30) minute "citizen comments" period shall be designated on the agenda for citizens and interested persons to speak on matters not scheduled on that day's agenda.  Each speaker shall be limited to 3 minutes for his or her comments.  Persons desiring to speak during the citizen comment period shall inform the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting of their intention to speak.  If more than 10 speakers express a desire to speak, the Commission shall determine, on a meeting by meeting basis, whether to (a) extend the time allotted for citizen comments to accommodate all speakers, or (b) whether to limit the number of speakers or amount of time per speaker.  A speaker's time shall not be transferable to another speaker.
